pearfishing or freediving masks are low volume to reduce the volume of air needed to equalise. As you descend you need to equalise the volume in the mask to prevent squeeze. This is done by breathing out through the nose and the smaller the volume, the easier this is at depth.
Good Spearfishing masks are generally black soft silicone. Clear silicone masks are generally not recommended for spearfishing as they allow too much light in that can be distracting.
